What are you cut out for?

Q: I've answered several questions about parenthood lately by saying that I'm not suited for it in the least, and therefore won't bother trying it. I've gotten quite a few thumbs-down for those answers. I'm not going to complain about that, knowing that it's status-quo around here, but it does make me wonder how people really feel about others admitting that they're not good at something most people would love to do. So, what are your special talents and skills? How are you using them now? Do you enjoy it? How do you feel when someone is honest about not possessing them?

A: I respect your choices and views. Our society emphasizes the freedom of the individuals to choose how their life is to be lived. I hope that others respect that as well. A lot of people haven't let go of last century thinking when we were all channeled into narrow roles that society chose for us. In this century things have changed. Many women are finding that they are better suited for the career world. Some men are finding that they can reach their goals by being the parent that stays at home. I'm still finding and seeking a way in life. I don't want to set any limits on what I'm suited or cut out for. Maybe you can help me? Maybe you can give me a hint or share your observations.
