Q: Or would you need something like a finance degree? I am 16 and I want an economics degree more than aanything but I want to work in the banking sector. Any insight? Because I really don't want to study finance I want to get a phd in economics... thanks for the help in advance :D
A: I don't see why not. At my school, the econ majors have almost the same career options as the business students. I say almost because some small firms don't have many resources for training, so they prefer people who are familiar with finance and accounting. The larger firms, however, do train their hires more and they like to hire some liberal arts majors in addition to business majors.
