Will Scottish money still be produced now that HBOS has been taken over?

Q: so the other day the Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) was taken over by Lloyds TSB bank and i was wondering if that meant that they would stop producing Scottish money (notes)? because for those who dont know...as well as the pound notes that the Bank of England produces, the Bank of Scotland also produces Scottish notes which vary slightly to English notes, but still count for the same currency of however many pounds. just now that HBOS has been taken over by Lloyds will it still have the power to produce Scottish notes? will they just stop making them altogether? or will it not be affected? i was just wondering earlier and i would be interested into whether anyone knows the answer to this....because the Bank of Scotland has been around since the 1600s and considering their national bank has been taken over, im sure a lot of Scots arent very happy thanks!

A: Well Royal Bank and Clydesdale still issue notes. If HBOS stops then it will increase monetary inefficiency. Independent bank note issuance helps Scotland's economy and I wish the United States would go back to independent issuance away from Federal Reserve Notes. It would probably add 1% to national productivity.
