Q: Considering the scarcity of their populations, social issues, climate, and lack of technologies. well Bub, considering if you're born into an Amish family you can't just up and go until Rouchsprachen, I consider them in the same boat
A: The native americans....they lost everything and got shoved onto some of the crappiest parts of land. then the eskimos....they still have a lot of their original lands, but they're basically reduced to poverty because they can't sustain themselves living traditionally, and aren't adequately educated to do well in the modern world... The amish are doing pretty good. They live how they choose...they're actually expanding. I hear they've been buying up a lot of land lately. their economy isn't really tied into the rest of America's economy. They don't have to worry about layoffs and other things that stress the rest of the country....not effected by power-outages, etc...
